VAIL — Sharing a compilation of stories that investigates pre-birth memory and spiritual amnesia, Neil Carman, Ph.D., and Elizabeth Carman, Ph.D., explore how the soul in the human body is only part of its experience in a multidimensional universe.

On Wednesday in Vail, The two will share stories from those who recall a state of being, not just before birth but before identifying with a human body — an existence as pure soul — and how this increased awareness can fill a life with gratitude, purpose and comfort. It is the final program of the Vail Symposium’s Summer Consciousness Series.

On Thursday, Elizabeth Carman will lead a yoga nidra meditation workshop. In yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, the body goes into the deepest sleep possible while the mind enters a deep meditative state of oneness. The experience rejuvenates the body, mind and spirit. There is no effort, suggestion or hypnosis — relaxation happens by itself.

The Carmans are the authors of “Cosmic Cradle.” Their research links together spiritual wisdom from diverse cultural perspectives, elucidating the pre-birth experience of consciousness and the soul’s journey to earth.
