1. Watch a lacrosse game — This year’s Vail Lacrosse Shootout is set to be among the best in the tournament’s 42-year history in Vail, as the Australian national team, the Israeli national team and the New Zealand national team will all be in Vail competing. Today’s matches take place at Edwards Freedom Park starting at 9 a.m. and running into the afternoon. For more information visit vaillacrosse.com.
2. Explore the new openings on Vail Mountain — Vail Mountain opened more hiking and biking trails over the weekend. Now open are the following: Berrypicker, Big Mamba, Eagle’s Loop, Fireweed, Fred’s Lunch, Gitalong Road, Grand Escape, Hank’s Hideaway, Lion Down, Lucy’s Loop, Magic Forest, Mane Lane, Onza Alley, PMT, Ridge Route, Radio Flyer, Village Trail, and portions of Grand Traverse. Grab a trail map at the base of the Lionshead Gondola, which runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and will also provide access to a lot of these trails.
