1. See the Pennsylvania Ballet in Vail — The 2014 Vail International Dance Festival continues at the Gerald Ford Amphitheater tonight the with Pennsylvania Ballet. Celebrating 50 years at the forefront of American dance, Pennsylvania Ballet will present an all-Balanchine evening tonight, featuring guest artist Robert Fairchild from New York City Ballet. The evening repertory will feature Serenad music by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreography by George Balanchine; and the Vail Premiere of Stravinsky Violin Concerto with music by Igor Stravinsky anc choreography by George Balanchine. The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
2 .Test yourself at the Dunk-n-Dash — Avon’s Nottingham Lake Park is home to the valley’s most popular duathlon, the swim/run Dunk-n-Dash, taking place tonight at 5 p.m. Swimmers in the Dunk-N-Dash can opt to make one or two 800-yard laps around the Nottingham Lake, and the 5K run starts and finishes at the lake’s pump-house. On-site registration is $20 and will be available at the Rec Center until 3 p.m and on-site starting at 5 p.m.
