1. Enjoy the first Vail Summer Bluegrass Series concert — The new Vail Summer Bluegrass Series begins tonight, featuring national-level bluegrass talent as well as local and regional acts in support. The concerts will be free with the option to purchase preferred-seating tickets and will occur on select Wednesdays in July and August in Lionshead. All shows begin at 5 p.m. Tonight’s show will feature The Travelin McCourys with Bill Nershi, of String Cheese Incident.

2. Take the Wednesday Art Walk — A free art walk meets each Wednesday at 11 a.m. for an hour-long guided tour of Vail Village and the public art collection, which includes 45 works ranging from paintings, sculptures, murals and playground components to site-integrated art. Guests meet in the Vail Village Welcome Center on the top level of the parking structure. After an introduction to the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum, the tour winds its way through the village with discussions of the history of the Vail Valley, the founding of Vail Mountain, the master planning of the village and the importance of site-specific art.
