Primary election ballots in the mail

EAGLE COUNTY — Ballots for Eagle County’s June 28 primary election have been mailed to all voters registered with the Democratic or Republican parties. The primary ballots include candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, district, state and county races. This is not a presidential primary.

Unaffiliated voters may affiliate as a Democrat or Republican up to and including election day to participate; however, the deadline for affiliated voters wishing to change parties has passed.

Eligible individuals can register or update their registration up to and including election day to vote in person. To receive a ballot by mail, voters must register by June 20. Registrants must be 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the state for at least 22 days. Residents with a Colorado driver’s license can register to vote, update existing registration and confirm their records at http://www.GoVoteColorado.com.

Voters may return ballots by mail or drop them off at the voter service and polling centers located at Eagle County Clerk & Recorder offices in Avon, Eagle and El Jebel. In addition, The Grand View Room at the Lionshead Village parking structure in Vail will be available for voter services on Friday, June 24; Saturday, June 25; Monday, June 27; and Election Day, June 28. All locations have ballot boxes, replacement ballots, registration services and disabled access voting. New this year, there are also 24-hour drop boxes outside all Clerk & Recorder offices.

Voters are reminded to ensure their physical and mailing addresses are correct, as ballots cannot be forwarded. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on June 28 to be counted.
