Vail lures locals and visitors outdoors with its warm temperatures, beautiful scenery and friendly vibe, but three local businesses are looking to entice folks to get out on the town with the return of the Cruiser Crawl summer program. Kicking off Tuesday evening the Vail Cruiser Crawl series is a free, bi-weekly outing that takes bicyclists on a five-mile loop with libation hydration stops at The Fitz Lounge in Manor Vail Lodge, El Sabor in Lionshead & Atwater on Gore Creek in the Vail Cascade Resort.
At each Cruiser Crawl, participants will receive a Crawl Pass they can use at each stop to purchase specially priced appetizers, $6 Herradura Tequila and Little Black Dress Vodka signature drinks. Participants that stop at any one of the Cruiser Crawl locations will also receive one punch on their Crawl Pass per stop, for a total of up to three punches. Each punch can be redeemed for one raffle ticket at the final Cruiser Crawl stop for a chance to win a free TREK Cruiser bike, valued at $600. A new bike will be given away at each Cruiser Crawl and the raffle will begin promptly at 7:45 p.m. Participants must be present to win and no purchase is required.
Tuesday’s Cruiser Crawl will start at The Fitz (5 to 6 p.m.) and will be followed by stops at El Sabor (6 to 7 p.m.) and end at Atwater on Gore Creek (7 to 8 p.m.). Prizes will be given for best costumes and children are welcome on the crawl. The 2013 Vail Cruiser Crawl series, will run will feature a different route each week. Future series dates include:
