BEAVER CREEK — From one world-class athlete to another, world championship slalom gold medalist and overall World Cup slalom champion U.S. Ski Team member Mikaela Shiffrin, a Vail Valley local, awarded a lifetime Vail Resorts Epic Pass to Janier Alexis Acevedo, winner of Stage 4 of the 2013 USA Pro Challenge in Beaver Creek.
The one-of-a-kind Epic Pass provides a lifetime of skiing privileges at 18 mountains in three countries. It features unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Eldora in Colorado; Canyons in Park City, Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Lake Tahoe; Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt. Brighton in Michigan. The Epic Pass also includes five free days at Verbier, Switzerland and five free days at Arlberg, Austria during the 2013-2014 winter season.
