The event continues Oct. 18 at 8:30 a.m. with Larry Donnithorne, author of “The West Point Way of Leadership” at the Hyatt Beaver Creek. Friday concludes with a short hike to Saddle Ridge in Beaver Creek, followed by lunch and a roundtable discussions for participants. Each day’s event is $35.
“This inaugural ‘Vail Way’ event will be an important gathering that brings thought leaders from the business start-up community, leadership scholars and community leaders who are driving the future success of the Vail Valley,” said Ross Iverson, president and CEO of the Vail Leadership Institute. “We encourage anybody in the Vail Valley with an interest in entrepreneurship and leadership to attend one or both sessions.”
Brad Feld, who keynotes The Entrepreneurs Reception on Oct. 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Westin in Avon, will share his “Boulder Thesis” and vision of how the Vail Valley can jump start its entrepreneurial activity.
Prior to co-founding Foundry Group, Feld co-founded Mobius Venture Capital and, prior to that, founded Intensity Ventures. Feld is also a co-founder of TechStars, co-chair of Startup Colorado and is on the board of UP Global. He writes the widely read blogs “Feld Thoughts,” “Startup Revolution,” and “Ask the VC.”
Everyone who registers for the event will receive a free copy of Feld’s book “Start-up Communities.”
