What goods or services do you provide? Nicky’s Quickie is a quick-serve restaurant with dine-in and carry-out service. We serve delicious, zesty Greek and Middle Eastern fare and even a few Yiddish dishes using gourmet and organic ingredients. We offer huge gyros, fresh salads, tasty platters, kids meals, family meals, sweet treats and more.
What’s new or exciting at your place? We were named one of the top dishes in the Vail area. Pita combo meals with a drink and a side start at $7.99.
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? We only cook with extra-virgin olive oil, and only fry in grape seed oil — two heart healthy oils. On request and in some of our dishes, we cater to many allergies (gluten, soy, dairy), vegetarian and vegan diets.
What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? We try to show love for our customers through our food. Our customers can expect rich, extraordinary food at a fast-food price.
Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: I’ve been in the valley for 12 years and am originally from Dallas.
What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? While we were getting set up, my dog was able to bring forth an unlimited supply of elk bones to chew on. Every time I’d turn around she would have a new one. It turns out there was a couple carcasses around the corner.
