Vail Holidaze continues today with Tree Lighting Ceremony

VAIL — Vail Holidaze continues throughout the weekend with Logan Luminescence at Vail’s Tree Lighting Ceremony.

This family holiday celebration will bring the community together to celebrate the season of light at the Logan Luminescence ice installation. A short holiday stage program will include live entertainment by the Vail Performing Arts Academy, an appearance by Vail’s mayor and, of course, the lighting of Vail’s holiday tree by the Covered Bridge in Vail Village.

A community wide public art project will also take place with the illumination of handmade paper lanterns at the tree lighting. LED batteries will be provided courtesy of Art in Public Places. Visit www.artinvail.com for more information. Hot chocolate will be served.

Vail Holidaze is an annual event that includes world-class ice skating performances, a New Year’s Eve torchlight parade and fireworks and Vail New Year’s Eve 2014 with Mix Master Mike.
