Beaver Creek’s Vilar Center has new parking program

BEAVER CREEK — The Vilar Performing Arts Center, located in Beaver Creek Village, has announced a new parking program designed to make traveling to and from shows at the venue more convenient.

Guests can take advantage of direct service from the Bear Lot to the Vilar Center (pick up is 45 minutes and 25 minutes prior to show time) and back to the lot after the show, sponsored by Beaver Creek Resort Co. Shuttles take approximately 12 minutes from the base to the Vilar and will leave approximately 10 minutes after a performance ends to take attendees back to the Bear Lot.

Guests can also take advantage of the Vilar’s Hummers of Vail shuttle, which makes travel between Vail hotels or residences easy and inexpensive. Discounted Vilar rates start at $15 per person round trip on select concert series performances (plus driver gratuity). Pick ups start at 6:30 p.m. direct from the guest’s location in Vail. Reservations can be made through the Vilar Center Box Office up to 24 hours prior to a performance date.

Finally, the venue offers a ride on the Turtle Bus for select performances this season for $15 per person roundtrip. Pick ups start at 6:30 and 7 p.m. from Vail.

A special $10 per car rate is also available at the Villa Montane parking structure located across from the Vilar Center for all shows that start at 6:30 p.m. and after. Guests should arrive early to help guarantee a spot and notify the attendant that they are attending a Vilar Center performance when they enter the lot.

“We know that with the unique and intimate setting that Beaver Creek Resort offers, that locating parking and locating our venue can be a challenge,” said Kris Sabel, executive director for the Vilar Center. “We are offering these programs to help our guests safely and successfully find our location and enjoy our performances, and hope that folks will take advantage of these transportation options this season.”

Vilar Center fans are encouraged to visit the venue website (www.vilarpac.org) and sign up for the Vilar Center email list for updates on which performances will offer the Hummers of Vail and Turtle Bus specials, as well as to learn about evening dinner specials with its Beaver Creek restaurant partners.
