EAGLE COUNTY — A local girl launched a jewelry business just so she could give the money away.
Cute as a Bead owner Hannah Litt donated more than $1,400 in the first year of jewelry her business.
Litt, 12, launched the business a year ago. Her business plan was for her to give 75 percent of the profits to local charities, and she stuck to her plan.
“I am grateful to all of my customers for helping me raise so much money for these organizations, and I’m excited to raise more money this year to help groups in our community,” she said.
By the end of January, her donations add up to $1,420, split between Jack’s Place, Friends of Dance and Eagle County Charter Academy.
“I’m exploring new techniques with wire, so my designs have become more intricate and more sophisticated,” Litt said.
Prices range from $20 to $40 for earrings and $30 to 45 for necklaces
“I have a ton of interesting beads, so I love the challenge of making unique or custom pieces for my customers,” Litt said.
