Partnership expands annual forum, pairs with Symposium

AVON — The Vail Valley Partnership has, in the past, hosted an annual business forum, bringing in leaders from around Colorado to discuss issues of importance for the Vail Valley business community. That one-day forum has now expanded.

In collaboration with the Vail Symposium, the Vail Valley Partnership will host a four-part business forum series that focuses on issues that impact our trade region, our communities, our businesses and our citizens.

“We’re excited to partner with Vail Symposium to expand the reach and frequency of the business forum. The series format will allow an in-depth review of topics, adding value to attendees,” Vail Valley Partnership President and CEO Chris Romer said.

Issues facing the community

The series will be a gathering of ideas and innovation to discuss and tackle big issues facing our community. This year’s schedule will examine:

• June 14: The Economic Status of Women in Colorado.

• June 28: Health Care in the High Country.

• Sept. 14: The State of Eagle County’s Economy.

• Nov. 1: The State of the State: A Look at Colorado’s Budget & Legislative Update.

A secondary goal of the series is to educate the business community on policies and issues that might affect business as a whole, or a specific industry, so people can make informed decisions. In order to do this, the series will bring together government officials and business leaders to offer local perspective and expertise to create an open forum that acknowledges opportunities, discusses ideas, expounds on potential obstacles, and in the end, collaborates for success.
