Ski and Snowboard Club Vail to host annual golf tournament

VAIL — Ski & Snowboard Club Vail provides life-changing opportunities to young snowsports athletes through scholarship initiatives, having given out over $1.1 million in scholarship funds during the past eight years. It is no wonder that the second annual SSCV Member Golf Tournament, which helps raise scholarship funds for alpine, freeski, freestyle, Nordic and snowboard athletes, is such a coveted community fundraiser, allowing youngsters to pursue their snowsports dreams regardless of their means.
On May 28, like-minded philanthropic men and women will gather at The Club at Cordillera Valley Course for a 1 p.m. scramble and lunch along with an apres and awards party in support of the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail Scholarship Fund. Twenty percent of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail members benefit from this financial aid, many of whom would not be able to pursue competitive snowsports without this type of support.
With 13 Ski & Snowboard Club Vail current and alumni athletes qualifying to compete in the Sochi Olympics, two of them bringing home gold and one bringing home silver, it is no wonder so many youngsters aspire to participate in and excel at a competitive snowsport with Ski & Snowboard Club Vail.
Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s goal is to ensure that any child with the character, courage and commitment to pursue their dreams in a snowsport is able to fulfill their potential as a young athlete and ultimately to become a successful adult benefiting from the lessons learned in pursuit of that dream.
It is Ski & Snowboard Club Vail initiatives like the golf tournament that help make these dreams come true. There are still a few foursomes along with sponsorship opportunities available on May 28. For more information, contact Euginnia Manseau at firstname.lastname@example.org or 970-790-5133.
