Annual Bravo! Vail guild membership drive set for Tuesday
Ryan Summerlin April 1, 2013
VAIL – The Bravo! Vail Guild hosts its annual membership drive at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vail Library. A light dinner will be provided. The Vail Library is located at 292 West Meadow Drive Road in Vail. Parking is available in the Lionshead parking structure.
The membership drive gives people an opportunity to join the volunteer Guild and learn more about Bravo! Vail. Returning members can renew their memberships, and new members can join the Guild. Anyone interested in learning more about joining the Guild is encouraged to attend.
The Guild has supported Bravo! Vail since its inception in 1987. With almost 200 members, these volunteers help usher at concerts, raise money for music-education programs and provide information to concert-goers. Last summer, they donated more than 2,000 volunteer hours.
Frank Strauss, a member of the Bravo! Guild and coordinator for the membership party, hopes to sign up new members and raise money for the Guild. One hundred percent of the money raised supports Bravo! Vail’s community engagement and education programs.
Bravo! Vail’s Community Engagement and Education Program are a year-round effort to integrate the arts into the community and to enhance school music programs. The programs, including the free concert series, instrument petting zoos, live at the library, very young composers, after-school piano programs and music on the move, reach nearly 10,000 children and adults annually.
