Beav breaks out the red cups for MLK holiday weekend

BEAVER CREEK – Holidays skiers and snowboarders have one more reason to celebrate the long weekend at Beaver Creek. The forecast is calling for sunny skies and with fresh snow this week, Broken Arrow and Red Tail Camp will host a two-day spring-like celebration Saturday and Sunday
Saturday, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Broken Arrow the “Valley’s First Red Solo Cup Party” will take place on the deck with drink specials served in red Solo cups, live music and prizes. Sharpie markers will be provided so guests can get creative and write on their Solo cups. The valley’s popular bluegrass/country band, Laughing Bones, will play from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and the giveaway will include Bud Light prizes and a chance to win a snowboard.
Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m., Red Tail Camp and Maui Jim will throw an aloha spirit-infused event, “Maui Jim Luau Party,” which will include margarita specials and a Hawaiian pig roast. Nosh on smoked pork sandwiches with Hawaiian barbecue sauce while listening to quintessential beach party music. Guests can wear their favorite Hawaiian shirt and receive an extra entry into the prize giveaway featuring Maui Jim and Bud Light prizes.
