BEAVER CREEK — Beaver Creek will open three additional lifts on Saturday, offering skiers and snowboarders lift access to the slopes from Avon. The Riverfront Gondola (No. 7), the Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express (No. 15) and Upper Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (No. 18) will open for the season, providing options for skiers and snowboarders who prefer to go directly to the slopes in Bachelor Gulch or at the top of Strawberry Park, bypassing the bus transportation to the main village. The Landing ticket office, located at the top of the Riverfront Gondola, also will open for the season on Saturday.
Additional dinning options
Mamie’s Mountain Grill, located at the top of Bachelor Gulch and overlooking McCoy Park, will fire up its grills for the season Saturday, feeding hungry skiers and snowboarders. This winter Mamie’s welcomes a new umbrella bar, which was relocated from Red Tail Camp when the new Talons Restaurant was being built. Mamie’s features grill-your-own reserve steaks, portabella mushroom sandwiches, soups and more.
Birds of Prey race spectators can ride the designated race shuttle bus from the village to the finish line with their skis and then ski back to the base area via Dally trail. There is no public skiing access to the races.
