VAIL — Larry Agneberg, a broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, is celebrating his 30th year working in the Vail Valley real estate business.
Agneberg began his real estate career in late 1983 working with Stuart Canada at Canada’s of Vail Real Estate in Lionshead. After two years at Canada’s, he went to work with John Slevin at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and has been working out of the Lionshead office ever since.
Agneberg moved to Vail in 1974 after being born, raised and attending college in North Dakota with a short stint in New Mexico in the interim. After starting successful wholesale and retail operations in Vail and rounding out his resume, Agneberg dived into brokering real estate and has never looked back.
Agneberg attributes his success in the business to loving what he does, a low-key approach and working with people. “No two days are ever the same and you truly never know what you are going to encounter each day,” Agneberg said. “Working with John Slevin over the years, and now his son, Michael, is also a bonus and a factor in my success. John and Michael run a great family-owned business, have always been on the leading edge of technology over the years and are market savvy. It’s been a pleasure to work with them.”
“Larry is the consummate professional and a dedicated broker who has developed a loyal client base because of his consistency, market knowledge, hard work and ethical approach,” Michael Slevin said. “Brokers like Larry embody our core values and keep us consistently improving — he makes us a better company.”
Agneberg is a past president and current member of the Vail Rotary Club, serves as a director for the Eagle Valley Land Trust, is active in his church and continues to find ways to involve himself in the community. He lives in Edwards with his wife, Sandi.
