EDWARDS, Colorado – Brush Creek Dry Goods of Edwards and the Tommy Bahama clothing line are celebrating their own anniversaries this year – it’s the 13th for the local store, the 20th for the clothing company.
Brush Creek Dry Goods is one of more than 100 Tommy Bahama retailers in the U.S., and is one of the national brand’s “Partner in Paradise” stores.
Brush Creek Dry Goods opened its doors in 1999 in the Riverwalk complex in Edwards with about 900 square feet of retail space. The store soon expanded to a larger space with 2,400 square feet of space. Tommy Bahama has been one of the store’s primary vendors since day one.
“As the men’s buyer for our clothing store, I first met Tommy Bahama at a fashion venue in Salt Lake City in 1999,” Brush Creek Dry Goods co-owner Raymond Bleesz said. “It was new, exciting, distinctive. My wife, Faith, and I were able to obtain the Tommy Bahama line for our store.”
Bleesz said working with Tommy Bahama for more than a decade has paid dividends for Brush Creek Dry Goods in the form of the “Partner in Paradise” designation.
“This title … provides us the ability to better serve our clientele and we are noted on the Internet as a Tommy Bahama priority store in Colorado,” Bleesz said.
