BT brings comedy to Eagle’s Back Bowl

EAGLE, Colorado – The trip from Muskogee, Okla., to the big screen was long and challenging, but the comedian known as BT parlayed his exposure in the cult comedy classic “Suckers” into a comedy career.
BT has since been seen in numerous television shows from the Sci-Fi channel’s “Black Scorpion,” to NBC’s Friday Night Videos and the Keenan Ivory Wayans Show.
BT takes the stage for Comedy Night at the Bowlmor at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Back Bowl in Eagle. The Comedy Night series is the longest running live comedy series in the valley and brings some of the best talent in the region in partnership with Denver’s famous Comedy Works.
BT has performed at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival and the Starving Artists Comedy Competition, where he walked away with the title of top comic. He also has headlined at some of the top comedy clubs around the country, including the Laugh Factory, Funny Bones and Denver’s own Comedy Works.
Opening for BT will be Gretchen Hess, who has performed at the Back Bowl twice in the past. She was discovered while writing and performing for RSN TV. Her talents landed her a gig as a regular contributor on ESPN 2 and she has since opened for some of the finest comics of the day.
Her observational humor is clean, clever and definitely very, very funny. As she likes to say about herself: “She’s tall, German and cheap. Like a good pilsner beer, she will surely satisfy.”
Tickets for Comedy Night at the Bowlmor are on sale now for $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the show. Group discounts are also available. Tickets can be purchased in person at The Back Bowl or by phone. Contact the Back Bowl at 328-BOWL ext. 12 or go to www.thebackbowl.com
