Buddhist film series begins Friday in Edwards

Local Buddhist group, Bodhimarga, is presenting a series of four films every fourth Friday starting this Friday at the Battle Mountain High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. The films are free to the public but donations are appreciated.
The first movie in the series is the award winning “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…. and Spring” by South Korean Director, Ki-duk Kim. This visually exquisite and contemplative film follows the teachings of an old Buddhist monk to his young student as he passes through the seasons of his life. Following the film, Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi will be lead a question and answer session.
Movie critic Jay Antani, described the movie as ” a mystical primer on Buddhist spirituality, and an immediately absorbing story about lessons that we all must grapple with, regardless of faith and culture.”
Bodhimarga is a non-denominational community under the spiritual direction of Ven. Tenzin Priyardarshi, dedicated to the study of Buddhadharma. For additional information visit www.bodhimarga.org.
