Campout for the Cause returns May 24-26 to The State Bridge Riverside Amphitheater for the fifth annual festival. Campout For the Cause is a family friendly, community gathering showcasing more than 22 diverse artists, conscious campers, river-runners, and health and yoga teachers.

The 2013 line-up includes headlining artists, Zion I, March Fourth Marching Band, Govinda and YAMN. Additional Campout artists include; Fruition, MTHDS, WhiteWater Ramble, Mountain Standard Time, Bonfire Dub, MilkDrive, ISHI, Grant Farm Mikey Thunder, Magic Beans, Congress, Ramona, Olora Brothers, Boneless, The Springdale Quartet, Jaden Carlson, Gypsy Moon, Psychonaut, HardScrabble and Kevin Heinz.

Campout for the Cause blends music, yoga, camping, stand paddle boarding, rafting and all things inspired by Colorado’s natural beauty and resources. The event tends to bring together a mindful community focused toward healthy, conscious and sustainable living.

The event was founded in 2009 by Scotty Stoughton with the goal of bringing together artists and fans who shared a strong sense of community and appreciation for music, camping, the Colorado river and a desire to give back. The first year featured a small stage, one generator and a few friends, yet planted a seed of excitement that has now grown into a successful three-day music filled festival. After volunteering with the disaster relief organization, All Hands, following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Stoughton made the decision to align Campout For the Cause with the groups philanthropic efforts. In addition to supporting All Hands, this year Campout is looking to expand the vision to work with and support organizations locally, nationally and internationally that share the same vision of social and environmental awareness, activism and engagement.

New this year, Campout For the Cause will create a dedicated yoga tent with scheduled classes and workshops discussing topics on the subject of perma-culture, sustainability and disaster relief. Stand Up Paddle Colorado will hold free paddle board clinics on the river, and be available for trips and paddle board rentals. The family camping area at Rancho del Rio has been expanded and there will be free admission for kids 13 and under. Families are always welcomed and encouraged.
