Celebrate the Winter Solstice with free Avon yoga class

AVON – Please join The Athletic Club at The Westin on Wednesday for a special free yoga class and candlelit ceremony celebrating the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice. The Studio Anjali Winter Solstice Celebration will be held on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.Yoga Lead Suzanne Oliver will offer an Asana practice, contemplative meditation and Pranayama (breath exercise), followed by the Bringing in the Light ceremony, a candle lit time for reflection and blessings of renewal for ourselves, the community and the planet. The entire program is free; guests are encouraged to bring a candle.The celebration will also include the blessing of the new Studio Anjali yoga space and will be followed by complimentary hot cider around The Westin Riverfront’s fire pit.
