The Laughing Matters Tour puts comedy first in a wickedly funny show that combines hilarious sketch comedy with with The Second City’s trademark improvisation.

Since its debut in 1959, The Second City has celebrated more than 50 years of cutting edge revues and has consistently been a starting point for numerous award-winning comedians, actors and directors in show business.

The company continues to produce premier comic talent in the industry, launching the careers of Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Gilda Radner and Bill Murray.

“This has been phenomenal season filled with stellar comedic performances at the VPAC,” says Kris Sabel, executive director of the Vilar Performing Arts Center. “This will be one of the wittiest and sharpest performances yet.
