Cocktails & Canvas comes to Alpine Arts Center in Edwards
July 6, 2012
Looking for a fun and creative night out in the company of friends? The Alpine Arts Center has the perfect solution. The Edwards based Arts Center is now offering a new series of classes perfect for a fun and unique outing with friends, Cocktails & Canvas.Inspired by a creative movement in Denver, owner Lauren Merrill has added the schedule of classes to the already packed summer schedule of classes, workshops and camps to fill a much-needed missing niche in the Valley. These new classes are the perfect way to enjoy a social evening of painting that is totally stress free. During each class an instructor will guide you through a step-by-step demonstration of the featured acrylic painting for that evening, and you will leave with your own unique masterpiece on stretched canvas, ready to display. Due to the wide variety of paintings featured, each class presents a unique opportunity to view and learn a new style. Canvases, brushes, easels and aprons are included, and beer/wine and snacks can be purchased at the bar throughout the night. “We’re excited to bring Cocktails & Canvas to the Vail Valley,” Merrill said. “We’ve experimented with these events already for private parties, and everyone has a blast and asks us to do them on a more regular basis.” Cocktails & Canvas classes will be offered every Wednesday night and every other Saturday night throughout the summer, with Cocktails & Clay classes coming soon.Alpine Arts Center is located at 210 Edwards Village Blvd. A105, in the Edwards Commercial Park.
