EAGLE – The Bowlmor Cafe and Lounge, located in The Back Bowl in Eagle, will host award-winning comedian David Testroet as Comedy Night at the Bowlmor returns Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. This is the first appearance for Testroet since the series’ inaugural season in 2007.
Testroet is a winner of the Seattle International Comedy Competition, as well as many other top competitions and comedy showcases across the country. He is a mainstay on the national stand-up comedy circuit and has appeared on TV comedy specials on Comedy Central, Showtime, CBS and even on the legendary Candid Camera TV show.
His lumbering and larger-than-life presence belies a fast and furious style that can turn on a dime to keep an audience steadily on its toes and writhing in laughter. He takes self-deprecation to new and hilarious heights while weaving a tapestry of personal observations from a very different perspective.
“David is the perfect example of why we continue, after over five years, to be so excited about the comedy series. His career just took off after his show early in our first season. We’ve been trying to get him back here ever since,” said Back Bowl owner and general manager Joe Gonzalez. “I think anyone who sees his show will realize how lucky we are to be able to experience this caliber of talent so close to home.”
Opening the evening will be part-time local resident and comedian Gretchen Hess. Now based out of Denver, Hess has had her own show on ESPN2 and is a fixture on Denver’s vibrant comedy scene.
Tickets are on sale now for $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the show. Groups are encouraged to take advantage of special pricing for groups of eight or more. Tickets can be purchased in person at The Back Bowl, or by phone with a credit card.
