Driver hurt after van crumpled between semi, bus in Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The driver of a van had to be pulled from his vehicle after it was hit from behind by a public bus in Boulder and burst into flames.
Colorado State Trooper Nate Reid told the Daily Camera that the van was traveling with a semi-trailer flatbed Monday when they both put their hazard lights on and stopped to turn right. He said it’s not clear why the Regional Transportation District bus didn’t stop and hit the van, which was barely recognizable after being crumpled between the semi and the bus.
A car driving behind the bus also collided into it.
People from surrounding businesses ran out with fire extinguishers after the crash. Two drivers who stopped to help say they prayed with the van’s driver until help arrived. The extent of his injuries isn’t known.
