Eagle County GOP to host senate candidate

VAIL, Colorado ” U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer will speak Friday at “Revolutionaries and Reformers,” the Eagle County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

Schaffer, a former three-term Front Range congressman, is running against Democrat Mark Udall for the seat being vacated by Republican Wayne Allard. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. at the Vail Plaza Hotel and Club.

Also speaking will be Tom Kirk, a Vail resident and Vietnam veteran who was a prisoner of war with Republican presidential candidate John McCain. Other candidates scheduled to speak at state Senate candidate Al White, state House candidate Muhammad Ali Hasan, Eagle County commission candidates Debbie Buckley and Dick Gustafson, and Eagle mayoral candidate Ed Woodland.



There is a special reception with the candidates at 5 p.m.
