Eagle County sports medicine group welcomes new chiropractor

EAGLE, Colorado – Local sports medicine group Vail Integrative Medical Group, recently hired full-time chiropractor Dr. Karla Solum. Solum had previously interned with Vail Integrative Medical Group in 2009 and had always wanted to return to the Vail Valley. Originally from Barnesville, Minn., Solum obtained her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, Calif. She also has a master’s in sports science and rehabilitation from Logan University in Chesterfield, Mo.
Since 2009, Solum has worked with various sports teams and organizations, including the University of Colorado at Boulder Athletic Department, three years at the Kona Ironman World Championships, 2012 USA Track and Field Olympic Trials, and most recently just completed a two-week internship at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. She continues to work with the U.S. Beach Volleyball team as their team physician and has traveled with them to China and Finland.
Solum will be the full-time chiropractor at Vail Integrative Medical Group’s office located in downtown Eagle Ranch.
