Eagle Valley High School has the following sports competitions and events coming up this week. Come out and support the home team – the Eagle Valley Devils. The high school is located at 641 Valley Road in Gypsum.
ACT Prep at EVHS
Next week is the final week for free ACT prep sessions. The final sessions are planned Wednesday, April 9. Science and math classes will run from 8 to 9 a.m. and English/Reading classes will run from 9 to 10:10 a.m. This is open to all students with a focus on juniors who will be taking the ACT on April 23. Devil Dancers tryouts
The Eagle Valley High School Dance Team is holding a one-night tryout beginning at 6:30 p.m. for 8th through 11th graders who will be attending EVHS next year. The boys lacrosse teams host Durango Friday, April 4 with varsity starting at 4 p.m. and junior varsity following at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, April 4, the boys varsity lacrosse team hosts Clear Creek at the Gypsum Sports Complex at 11 a.m. On Tuesday, April 8, the boys lacrosse teams host Glenwood Springs with varsity starting at 4 p.m. and junior varsity following at 5:30 p.m.
The varsity baseball team heads to Rifle Saturday, April 5, for a double header that begins at 11 a.m. On Tuesday, April 8 the varsity baseball team hosts Battle Mountain starting at 4 p.m.
EVHS Track Invitational
The EVHS track team hosts its invitational meet in Gypsum on Saturday, April 4 with action beginning at 9 a.m.
Freshmen and sophomore tracksters travel to Grand Junction High School on Monday, April 7 for a meet starting at noon.
The girls golf team heads to Battlement Mesa Monday, April 7 for a 10 a.m. tee time.
The girls soccer teams host Palisade Monday, April 7, with junior varsity starting 4 p.m. and varsity following at 6 p.m.
The varsity girls lacrosse team travels to Fruita Monument High School on Tuesday, April 8 for a 4 p.m. game.
