Eagles Fore Education golf tourney to be held on June 3

WOLCOTT — The Education Foundation of Eagle County will hold the inaugural Eagles Fore Education golf tournament on Tuesday, June 3, at the Red Sky Ranch Fazio Course in Wolcott. Proceeds from the event will benefit local public middle and high schools.

Vail Resorts ECHO sponsored the event by donating the Red Sky Ranch Fazio Course. Vail Resorts ECHO has been a faithful contributor to Ef(ec) throughout the years.

“Because of Vail Resorts ECHO’s contribution, we are excited and grateful to be able to offer our community the opportunity to contribute toward Ef(ec)’s efforts, including providing middle and high schools with school counselors, teacher assistants, e-instruction clickers that better integrate technology in the math classroom, and programming including Advancement Via Individual Determination, all while enjoying golf at one of the world’s premiere golf courses,” said Wendy Rimel, president of Ef(ec).

Registration begins at noon with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Golf will be played in a scramble format. A cocktail party immediately follows with awards and prizes. The cost is $250/play or $1,000/foursome. Participants may register online at http://www.efec.org. Those who can’t make the event can make a donation at the website.
