The Town of Gypsum has announced that country sensation, Easton Corbin, and country legend, Mark Chesnutt and will appear at the 32nd annual Gypsum Daze Concert scheduled for July 19.
Gypsum Daze will feature three days of family fun including a free kids carnival, community parade, Gypsum Creek Cruisers Car Show, a talent show, food and merchant village, BMX stunt performances, and more.
Concert headliner Easton Corbin has been described by American Songwriter as “one of those rare, glorious voices that was made—just made—for singing country music.”
With two No. 1 singles, multiple awards and nominations, plus performances on some of the biggest stages in the world, Easton Corbin made an auspicious entry with his self-titled debut album. The release of his sophomore effort, “All Over the Road,” builds on that success.
When Easton broke on the scene in 2009 with not one, but two, No. 1 singles, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It,” and a Top 15 hit, “I Can’t Love You Back,” the country music world was put on notice. He became the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1. Billboard named Easton the Top New Country Artist of 2010 and named “Roll With It” the No. 6 Hot Country Song of the Year. He was ranked No. 9 on Billboard’s list of Top Country Artists-Male, listed between Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw.
Easton debuted his new single “Clockwork” in January and Gypsum Daze is proud to be on his 2014 tour.
In addition, Gypsum Daze will welcome country legend Mark Chesnutt. Critics have hailed him as a classic country singer of the first order and some of country music’s most elite entertainers, from George Jones to George Strait, echo the sentiment.
Chesnutt has 14 No. 1 hits, 23 top ten singles, four platinum albums and five gold records to his credit. He maintains a front-and-center presence with a hefty tour schedule year after year.
“Few communities in Colorado have the live music following like Gypsum Daze. The town of Gypsum brings together country music fans, community, local business and good, clean, free family fun,” said Gypsum Town Manager, Jeff Shroll. “We are featuring our 20th year of country music talent and enjoy offering this treat to our community”.
Gypsum Daze organizer Krista DeHerrera said “The event is our town’s way of celebrating family, business and an overall sense of community. Gypsum Daze supports area businesses and welcomes partners to participate in the event.”
Bighorn Toyota, a five year sponsor of Gypsum Daze, enjoys participating in a great community draw according to company sales manager Jennifer Rose.
AmericInn General Manager, Lonnie Leto says “we welcome folks to come to Gypsum Daze, stay overnight and see all that our area has to offer.” As the event lodging partner, the AmericInn of Eagle is offering special rates for Gypsum Daze and offers a free shuttle to and from the event.
