Details: This is the concluding session for the Chamber’s workshop series Life Skills for Success: Encouraging You to Your Potential. The presentation will provide a concluding opportunity to see the big picture of Life Skills as it relates to you. Bring a brown bag lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided.

Energy Smart Colorado Western Slope Home Show

What: Showcase for the latest in products and services for the home and garden. Home energy audits, window replacements, hot tubs and spas, landscaping, water treatment solutions and more.

When: Friday, April 25 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Eagle River Center at the Eagle County Fairgrounds

Community Pride Highway and Eagle Cleanup Day

What: Clean up crews will pick up trash along Interstate 70, U.S. Highway 6 and around the town of Eagle.

When: Saturday, April 26

Time: 9 a.m. to noon

What: The Cycle Effect is hosting a celebration of the Eagle Open Space trails

When: Saturday, April 26

Time: Noon to 4 p.m.

Where: Event registration at The Dusty Boot

Details: The event will include rides, runs, hikes and more. Admission is free and registration is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to the trails events, strider bike races, yoga on the lawn, and fly casting clinics are planned at The Dusty Boot. Eagle Dog Park Build Day

What: Join Girl Scout Troop No.156 to improve the Eagle Dog Park by building an agility course, fencing, walking trail, picnic table, and benches.

Where: Eagle Dog Park (On Sylvan Lake Road, across from the Eagle Ranch Golf Course Parking Lot)

Nimon-Walker Award

What: The Eagle County Historical Society will honor the Nottingham family with the 2014 Nimon-Walker award.

When: Sunday, April 27

Time: 2 to 4 p.m.

Where: Eagle Public Library

Details: The Nimon-Walker Award recognizes individuals and groups whose work has helped preserve the history of Eagle County. This year’s recipients are members of the Nottingham family of Avon. The reception will include a presentation by Ron Sladek of Tatanka Historical Associates.

What: Annual health expo featuring free and low-cost screenings

When: Saturday, May 3

Tim: 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Eagle Valley High School

Details: This spring, 9Health Fair celebrates its 35th year of providing more than 25 free and seven low-cost health screenings. Blood screening participants must fast for 12 hours prior to the blood draw. For more information visit www.9HealthFair.org.

AARP Driver Safety Classes

What: AARP driver safety class for area residents age 50 and older

When: Saturday, May 10

Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Glenwood Springs Library at 815 Cooper Ave.

Details: Most Colorado auto insurance companies offer discounts to those who complete the course. There is a $15 fee for AARP members and a $20 fee for non-members for the workbook and handouts, payable to the instructor. To register call 970-384-8747 or for more information email dspgws@rof.net.

Eagle Outside Festival Kickoff Block Party

What: Live music pre-event party

When: Friday, May 16

Time: 4 p.m. start. Live music at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Bonfire Brewing Company at 127 Second Street in Eagle.

Details: Each party go’er will receive one free beer if he or she arrives by bike. 127 2nd. For Eagle Outside Festival competitors, Firebird and Firebird la Femme packet pickup is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. at Addison Building on corner of Capitol and Sylvan Lake Road in downtown Eagle Ranch.

What: Mountain bike races, trail races, equipment demos, guided rides and more
