There’s no time like Nozawa

Nozawa, the popular Asian eateries found in Avon and West Vail, have expanded to include a downtown Eagle location.

Housed in the historic Dice building downtown, Nozawa offers its signature blend of Asian flavors featuring Thai, Chinese and Japanese offerings.

“We saw an opportunity in the growing community of Eagle and the lack of Asian cuisine,” said Nozawa Eagle manager Jacob McNeely. “I have been hearing stuff for months that people are excited for us to come to town.”

Nozawa is offering a 20 percent discount for dine-in sushi customers at the Eagle location. McNeely noted the discount is aimed at bringing people into the restaurant to sample the menu. Once they have tasted the options from the 17-item menu, the folks at Nozawa figure first-time customers will become return patrons.

“Sure we are a land-locked state, but with the modernization of how we move things around this country, we can get fresh fish here,” said McNeely.

In addition to the fresh sushi, Nozawa offers an $8.95 lunch bento special that McNeely describes as featuring a little bit of everything. The eatery only opened its doors last weekend, but McNeely said the lunch crowd has already found its way to Nozawa.

“Plus the people who live here are walking down and hanging out in the evenings,” he said.

Nozawa offers full bar service and even has its first party planned. The restaurant will host the reception following next week’s Eagle Vision 20/20 event.

Hours at Nozawa in Eagle are 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Carry out service is also provided, but the dine-in discount is not applied to carry out orders.

Nozawa can be reached at 970-328-3836.
