On Thursday, May 1, The Grind in Glenwood will host Geeks Who Drink at 7:30 p.m.

Geeks Who Drink is not your average pub trivia and admission is free.

The Glenwood Springs Contra Dance will take place on May 3 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Glenwood Springs Elementary.

It starts off with a beginner walk through and casual instruction. All dances are taught and no experience or partner is necessary.

Listen to great live Old Time Music and stay for the dance. Cost is $8 at the door.

Weekly tastings

A brilliant local to do every weekend in historic downtown Glenwood Springs is Cooper Wine & Spirits free tastings of local craft beers from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Stop by and expand your tastes. Every weekend features a different variety of hand selected wines, craft beers or Colorado spirits.

Admission is free.

Mortell exhibit

The Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts is housing Reflections: An Art Exhibition all day on Wednesday, May 7.

This exhibition celebrates Gayle Mortell’s artistic eye as she debuts her impressive, personal collection of art. The exhibit will run through May 31.

Free Beer Fridays

On Friday, May 2 beginning at 9 p.m. Montana’s Smokehouse offers Free Beer Fridays with live music.

Admission is free and Montana’s has an amazing atmosphere with pool tables, foosball and a big dance floor.

Open mic night

The Black Dog Saloon is hosting an Open Mic Night on Sunday, May 4 at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
