Paid airport parking starts Monday

GYPSUM — Starting Monday, the Eagle County Regional Airport will implement paid parking at its close-in lots. Parking in front of the terminal will be $8 per day, with the first two hours free. Longterm parking on the west side of the terminal will cost $6 per day. Free parking will remain available at two lots east of the terminal.

PAID PARKING PROGRAM

The addition of paid parking will help defray costs associated with maintaining the parking lots and provide funding for airport improvements. The county has contracted with Republic Parking System to manage the paid parking program.

Three self-pay kiosks have been installed at the terminal where travelers will enter their license plate number, the lot in which they’ve parked and the number of days they plan to park, and then pay the amount due. There is also a live assistance option for individuals unfamiliar with the system.
