Senior Health Fair

What: Ninth annual health fair for local senior citizens

When: Friday, Sept. 27

Time: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Colorado Mountain College in Edwards.

Details: The Senior Health Fair focuses on the health needs of older adults with a variety of screenings such as memory, vision, hearing, balance, strength, dental, vein and blood pressure. All services are free and light refreshments will be provided.

Hopperfest

What: Fund-raiser for the Eagle Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited

When: Saturday, Sept. 28

Time: Noon to 4 p.m.

Where: Brush Creek Pavilion in Eagle.

Oktoberfest

What: Live music, food venders and a celebration of all things German

Time: Noon to 6 p.m.

Where: Lundgren Theater Park in Gypsum

Details: Bonfire Brewing in Eagle has concocted a special Gyptoberfest creation for the event.

Great Stampede

What: 3-mile run, 1-mile kids run/family trot

When: Sunday, Sept. 29

Time: 8:45 to 9:15 bib pick-up and same-day race registration; 9:30 a.m. race start

Where: 4Eagle Ranch

Details: A kick off to the Wild West Day celebration, the Great Stampede offers competition for the whole family. Strollers are welcome for the fun run. Times will be posted and everyone will receive a medal. Preregistration is $20 for adults or $10 for students. Race day registration is $25 for adults and $10 for students. Wild West Day

What: 23rd annual western theme fund-raiser for Eagle County’s public elementary schools.

When: Sunday, Sept. 29

Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: 4Eagle Ranch north of Wolcott

Details: Wild West Day features games, contests, music and a huge silent auction. Lunch is available for purchase, along with a huge bake sale. Admission is $3 for kids and adults. For more information, visit www.wildwestday.org.

Diamond S history tour

What: Eagle County Historical Society tour of historical sites on the Diamond S Ranch

When: Saturday, Oct. 5

Time: Tours will run every 20 minutes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Diamond S Ranch, located four miles east of Eagle on U.S. Highway 6.

Details: Owners at the Diamond S Ranch have allowed the historical society to plan one-time tours of the private gated community. Cost is $25. Advance reservations are required. Eagle Ranch Pumpkin Patch

What: Pumpkin picking, the Haunted Barn, games, pony rides and more.

When: Saturday, Oct. 12

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Brush Creek Park

Details: Bring the whole family and find your perfect pumpkin and enjoy lots of fun activities. Children will have an option to bounce off some energy in four fantastic bouncy castles while grown-ups peruse a silent auction benefiting the Sunshine Mountain Preschool. Food, games and fun for the whole family.
