Edwards’ Hill Aevium wins awards for website design

EDWARDS, Colorado – Edwards-based marketing and advertising firm Hill Aevium has been named a winner in the 2012 W3 Awards that were announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts.

Receiving over 3,000 entries, the W3 Awards honors outstanding websites, web marketing, web video and mobile apps created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide. Hill Aevium won silver awards in two categories, both for website design.

In redesigning a new website for the Glenwood Hot Springs, Hill Aevium strived to provide an immediate introduction to the overall resort experience.

“We relied on experiential words such as ‘swim, stay, spa and fitness’ rather than operational silos such as ‘The Pool, The Lodge, The Spa,” said Creative Director Pati Martinez. “We are thrilled that the number of unique visitors to the website increased by 9 percent and the number of people who clicked through to the reservation system increased by 19 percent.”

Hill Aevium earned a second silver award for their work on the Crazy Mountain Brewery website. Crazy Mountain, a popular craft brewery in the Vail Valley, approached Hill Aevium to redesign their website in preparation for the launch of their microbrewery to some of the largest distributors in the United States. This brewery is a testament to the children’s book “The Little Engine That Could.” “Can’t” is not in their repertoire and the site had to represent the uniqueness and professionalism that they bring to the micro brew business.

The W3 Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “who’s who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
