BEAVER CREEK – Looking forward to the summer season, the Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) announced this week that legendary musicians Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will take the stage at the Vilar Cener on July 2 at 8 p.m.
A four-time Grammy Award winner backed by guitarist Neil Giraldo, Benatar has maintained her status as one of the greatest woman rockers of all time since she hit the scene in the 1980s. She has secured her spot in the industry winning “Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female” for four consecutive years in the early ’80s. In addition, six of her albums have gone platinum.
Although Benatar found her fame in the ’80s, she keeps her career thriving with her arena rocker voice, power chords, and hit songs such as “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “Love is a Battlefield,” “Shadows of the Night,” “Heartbreaker” and “I Need a Lover.” She is a timeless rock superstar whose hit songs will forever be named among the great classics.
“Pat Benatar has the unique ability to appeal to just about everybody with hit songs and a voice that transcends generations,” said Kris Sabel, executive director of the Vilar Performing Arts Center. “Her music is well-known and cherished by many generations. The VPAC is overjoyed to welcome a rock legend of her magnitude.”
Tickets for Pat Benatar, priced at $98 or $128 based on seating, are on sale now at vilarpac.org, by phone at 970-845-TIXS or in person at the VPAC Box Office in Beaver Creek.
