Learn the art of pizza making in Vail Tuesday

On Tuesday, for one evening only, the Vail Blue Moose is not only is saying it is OK to play with your food, they are highly encouraging it. In conjunction with Vail Restaurant Month’s Family Week, the Vail Blue Moose will be hosting pizza tossing classes from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Over the past summer Tuesday night has become known as family night at the Blue Moose restaurants, located in both Beaver Creek and Lionshead Villages, and this Tuesday will be no exception. Not only will families be able to take advantage of the restaurant’s $25 Family Pizza Night special, but those visiting the Vail Blue Moose can also sign up for one of the three pizza tossing class sessions taking place that evening beginning at 4 p.m. Participating kids will learn the art of tossing pizza dough from one of the talented Moose pizza chefs and will get a little practice time in with fun pizza throw doughs to perfect their unique form and style. After a little pizza tossing competition, all kids will be invited to make their own personal favorite pizza creation to enjoy. All kids will also receive a Moose goody bag, along with a highly coveted Blue Moose Pizza tossing graduation certificate.
And, though the class itself is limited to kids ages 5 to 14, the Blue Moose didn’t forget about the big kids as well. Parents, though you won’t be working up your appetite in quite the same fashion, if the excitement of cheering on the pizza tossing competition has left you hungry or parched, the Blue Moose has you covered. Enjoy a variety of Blue Moose slice specials (paired with a soda or a draft beer) or the family night special, if you are looking for a little something for everyone.
Pizza tossing and making sessions will last approximately one hour, starting at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., and cost $20 per participating child. Children must be 5 to 14 years of age and must be accompanied by an adult. As space is limited per segment, reservations are highly encouraged.
