Lorinda is outta here
Ryan Summerlin November 24, 2013
After 13 years with the Vail Cascade Resort, our beloved Lorinda Arpin has decided it’s time to start a new chapter in her life. Her last day was Friday. Lorinda began her adventure with the resort on Dec. 14, 2000, as the executive assistant to the general manager. Although she has done her fair share of administrating, this title does not begin to describe what she has done for her family at the Cascade. We have truly been blessed by her never-ending passion, as well as love and commitment to make sure we put our best food forward each and every day. To us, she has been a mother, a sister, a mentor, a negotiator, an adviser, a confidant, a friend, a director, a visionary, an advocate, a teacher, a coach, a leader, a source of inspiration, honesty and sincerity, and, of course, a babysitter (of children, but mostly adults) — the list is never ending! This day is bittersweet. We are sad that her adventure with us is coming to a close, but it is time for her to turn the page and focus on herself. She speaks about her bucket list often, and we are proud of her for recognizing that she needs to get on with the business of her! Farewell, our dear friend — we will miss you around the resort, but we look forward to spending relaxing, quality time with you out and about, and we can’t wait to hear about the adventures you are planning as you move forward with your newfound freedom. Hang on Lorinda, and get ready for the ride. We will love you always! From, your Cascade family.
