Minturn police chief to resign

MINTURN – Minturn Police Chief Lorenzo Martinez, has announced he is resigning from his position effective Feb. 15.
“I have been honored to serve the residents of the Town of Minturn and will always think of Minturn as home,” Martinez wrote in his letter of resignation. “I wish the town success in the future.” Martinez has offered to provide any assistance needed during the transitional period.
Martinez has been with the Minturn Police Department for approximately 27 years, first as an officer and then eventually as the chief. For more information, call Minturn Town Manager Jim White, 970-827-5645.
