Montanas in Avon unveils all ages haunted house

Montana’s in Avon opened its doors to the first all-ages haunted house in Avon on Friday.
As a special treat, Montana’s and Avon Elementary School teacher Jake Wolf invited 22 children from Avon Elementary School to be the first visitors to see the exhibit.
Employees and local residents transform into creatures of the night, guiding attendees through a maze of gory scenes sure to scare young and old.
“The people at Montana’s are doing something great for our community, and they need help getting the word out,” Wolf said. “I am helping out here because I believe in this town and have worked long and hard to make sure the kids I teach can get every opportunity our valley can provide.”
Montana’s will run the haunted house every day until Oct. 30, with the exception of Monday and Tuesday. Enjoy free, kid-friendly tours from 6 to 9 p.m. Scary adult tours, from 9 p.m. to midnight, are $5. A portion of the proceeds will go to Eagle County Kids Coalition. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call 970-949-7019
“This can be an annual event our valley can look forward to every year,” Wolf said.
