AVON – Nappy Roots returns to the Vail Valley Saturday when the group performs at Agave in Avon, along with special guests Space Capone. Folks in Kentucky celebrate “Nappy Roots Day” every Sept. 16 in honor of the group behind hits like “Po’ Folks,” “Headz Up,” “Awnaw,” “Roun’ The Globe” and “Good Day.” These country-and-proud hip-hoppers bring their own brand of Southern bounce back to Agave in Avon.

“We might have to start dubbing the first Saturday in January ‘Nappy Roots Day,'” said promoter Crawford Byers. “They owned this weekend last year; they performed what was hands down one of the best shows of last winter, and we couldn’t be more excited they’re coming back.”

Catchy hooks and conscious rhymes will abound when these stars of the hip-hop underground take the stage.

The doors open at 9:30 p.m. and music starts at 10 p.m. Tickets are $16 day of show, available at Agave, Get Hi Gallery and RMEntertainment.com.
