EAGLE COUNTY — A Dotsero man was booked on multiple felonies after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance Friday.
On Friday at 5:50 a.m., the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Mayne Block Mobile Home Park in Dotsero.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim had suffered severe lacerations to her hands and arms. She told deputies that during an argument the suspect pulled a knife and attacked her, police said. She said he then fled the scene on foot, according to police.
The victim was transported to Valley View hospital where she was treated for the injuries.
Shortly after 9 a.m., Joel Ivan Gonzalez-Vega, 25, of Dotsero, was taken into custody. Gonzalez-Vega was booked into the Eagle County Detention Facility on charges of second-degree assault; domestic violence, a class 2 felony; felony menacing, a class 4 felony; and criminal attempt to commit attempted second-degree murder, a class 3 felony.
The Eagle Police Department, Avon Police Department, Colorado State Patrol, High-Altitude Army National Guard, Gypsum Fire Protection District and Eagle County Paramedic Services assisted in this incident.
