On the Hill video ski report: Powder heaven under Vail’s Chair 11
Vail official report: 0″ new snow
Vail Daily field report: Off Northstar, it may well have snowed 2 feet last night
Liftline status: Not as crowded as you would expect with all the new terrain openings. No lines at Chairs 3 or 4or 11 -as of 9 a.m.
Weather: Very cloudy, cold, with low visibility. There may have even been a snowflake or two falling at 9 a.m.
Breakdown: It didn’t snow last night, but today may just be the best powder day of the year.-The lifts started uploading at 8:30 a.m. this morning, and with three new chairs running (7, 11, and 14)–and a lot of new terrain open, the powder hounds were on the hunt from the very first chair. There’s 2 feet or more in spots under Chair 11, with the actual runs grooomed nicely and the sides stacked up with powder.
