John LaContenewsroom@vaildaily.comVail, CO Colorado

Brought to you by and the .Vail official report: 0″ new snowVail daily field report: About a half an inch of new dust on the hill as of 9 a.m.Liftline status: Slight morning crowd at Eagle Bahn Gondola; did not find crowds anywhere elseWeather: Cloudy, snowing very slightlyBreakdown: Vail Mountain is looking much better now, thanks to the recent half a foot or so we’ve received. On the front side, trees and gladed areas are fun once again, the bumps aren’t rock hard and the groomers are great for carving hard turns into. On the back, look for fresh snow in woods and powder stashes, but still be mindful of bare and barely covered spots. With more snow on the way, soon Vail’s back bowls will be once again the area you know and love to ski.Snowcast: Tonight’s our night, baby!
