On the Hill: BMX racing in Eagle
Ryan Summerlin July 12, 2013
Today’s activity: BMX racing at Eagle County BMX.
Conditions: Every Thursday throughout the summer, dozens of kids come out to the BMX track in Eagle near the pool and ice rink to participate in weekly races. Owner/operator Jay Lucas says if you learn how to ride BMX as a kid, you’ll go on to be much better at mountain biking and road cycling as an adult. The track is open 24/7 and on Mondays kids can practice with the aid of local coaches.
Today’s weather: Scattered showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. — National Weather Service
