On the Hill: Jumping Green Mtn Reservoir
Ryan Summerlin July 24, 2013
Today’s activity: Cliff jumping at Green Mtn Reservoir
Conditions: Located just 20 miles north of Vail Village (as the crow flies), the Green Mountain Reservoir swimming and boating area is billed as “One of Colorado’s best kept secrets” for a reason. It’s a great area to enjoy summer water activities and is enjoyed by both campers and anglers seeking a mellow lake and wakeboarders and cliff jumpers looking for something more extreme, however it stays relatively uncrowded during the summer months.
Today’s weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. — National Weather Service
