On the Hill: Longboarding Lionsridge Loop
August 15, 2013
Today’s activity: Longboarding Lionsridge Loop
Conditions: In the summer, Vail does a great job of cleaning and maintaining their paved streets, making many areas a longboarder’s paradise. But like bikers, joggers and dog walkers, longboarders are also wise to observe the laws of nature and maintain a healthy fear and respect of the vehicles on the road. Fortunately for those recreational road users, Vail’s neighborhoods have a relatively low amount of automobile traffic during the days.
Today’s weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the morning. — National Weather Service
